The Wisconsin Coroners and Medical Examiners Association is working with lawmakers to make certain revisions and updates to Wisconsin State Statute 979, the Death Investigation Statute.  The Legislative committee and Chairperson Scott Rifleman have spent countless hours in moving this important legislation forward.  We are underway again in 2017 working to confirm sponsors for the updated educational bill for the current session.  More information, including a final copy of the proposed bill will be posted as it becomes available.   Below find a copy of the bill from the last session.
