PROPOSED 979 LEGISLATION:
The WCMEA Legislative Committee is working hard to share the information contained in the proposed 979 legislation. The legislation is important to every Coroner and Medical Examiner office in the state. Wisconsin is one of only five states that does not require C/ME training. This bill as proposed allows for funded training for all death investigators in Wisconsin. The bill also cleans up antiquated language in state statute 979.
This is an important bill!!
